As for why they split? 

Safaree provided insight into the breakup in a January 2015 interview. Although he said he wasn’t the one to officially end things, he did admit that he was the one who picked up and left. I walked away. I’m not going to say I broke up, but I’m the one who walked away. I packed up my stuff and I left, he told Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club.

Safaree explained that Nicki’s career was taking off, and it changed the dynamic of their relationship. I just got to the point where the respect wasn’t there, he said.  Everyone around her works for her, you know? So it got to the point where it was like, I’m your man. I’m who you go to sleep with every night. I’m who you wake up with every morning. And it got to the point where I was being treated like an employee, instead of like her man.
Nicki also admitted that she wasn’t in a good place after their split. She confessed that she was “emotionally unstable in an interview with Nylon in March 2016. I needed time to hear myself think again, she said of the aftermath of the breakup.  Because where I left off with The Pinkprint was a little bit emotionally unstable .

Youths in Ekwulobia town, Anambra state, went on a rampage and burnt down a church after a mathematics teacher named Chiadikobi Ezeibekwe married his 17yr old sister claiming God told him to do so in a revelation.

Chiadikobi quoted Bible passages in Deuteronomy to illustrate that siblings should marry each other. He said; One benefit of doing that is that it discourages divorce. It also keeps family values and norms.

He stated he did not pay any bride fee to anyone in respect of the marriage. He stated; I don’t sense guilty. I don’t feel ashamed. I don’t sense intimidated in any way. "Only God can stop us".

The  marriage which incensed the local youths was conducted by Chiadikobi’s elder brother, Chijioke Ezeibekwe, who's the  priest of dwelling Fullness of God Church, Agba. The youth of the village then burnt the church to the ground.

The Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer, Nkeiruka Nwide, said she heard the story unofficially.

Reacting to the issue, the traditional prime minister of Ekwulobia, Gabriel Ezeukwu, said,

 Agba village youths, who saw the marriage as  an abomination,  set ablaze the church where the wedding took place.

 I restrained them from further action against the man and his family.  If it were in the past, the entire family would be burnt down because this is a grave abomination and sin.

The eldest son of the family, Emeka Ezeibekwe, vowed to resist their union. He said; It’s over my dead body that they will call themselves husband and wife. It can’t happen.

Popular  Anambra-based musician, Chinedu Iwozor is dead.

Iwozor, who is the leader of the 7star international Band, collapsed and died while acting on stage Friday in his hometown, Anambra state.

Until his death, the prominent Igbo singer was also a member of the Iheoma Adighi Agwu Agwu musical group.

He was well known in the east for his numerous hit songs like ‘Destiny can be delayed, but can’t be denied’; ‘Iheoma adighi agwu agwu’ among others.

A member of his music group, Shabach Nelson Lukebaz Igboke, who shared the photos, wrote, “Music Industry has lost another superlative legend again.

“The singer of ‘iheoma adighi agwu Agwu’ and the leader of 7stars international band CHINEDU Iwozor died on stage while performing. RIP great singer.”

He is said have suffered cardiac arrest on stage leading to his unfortunate death.

Nigerian troops in Borno have killed 5 Boko Haram insurgents and captured a top commander of the group in the ongoing operation in Sambisa forest and the Lake Chad basin.


Col. Onyeama Nwachukwu, Deputy Director, army Public relations of Operation Lafiya Dole, in a declaration in Maiduguri, said troops also rescued 3 civilians, recovered vehicles and high calibre ammunition in various operations in the past  days.


Nwachukwu stated on Thursday, the troops engaged and neutralised a number of fleeing insurgents while trying to escape the army blocking position in one of the cleared enclaves ‘Sabil-Huda’, deep in Sambisa forest.

He said that the troops also recovered one G-III rifle magazine, one life jacket, a light Machine Gun metal link, four rounds of Anti-Aircraft ammunition, four rounds of 7.62mm (NATO) ammunition and three rounds of 7.62mm (Special) ammunition.

“Unfortunately, two soldiers were injured in the process; they had been evacuated by the Nigerian Air Force and are responding to treatment,” he said.

Nwachukwu said that the troops on Friday launched offensive targeting a terrorist’s hideouts up ‘CAMP ZAIRO’, and neutralized a number of insurgents in spite of initial damaged caused to their Armoured Fighting Vehicle by Improvise Explosive Device (IED) planted beneath the ground.

He said that the troops killed five insurgents; several others wounded and recovered ammunition at a hideout in Parisu, Sambisa Forest.

Nwachukwu disclosed that troops of 151 Battalion in conjunction with “7 Division Support Group’ had also cleared nine terrorists’ hideouts along Frigi-Izza area.

The director added that the troops also recovered one motorcycle, two bicycles, 10 bicycle tyres, one bicycle, three Boko Haram flags, a solar panel, five drums filled with grain, two mattresses, two grinding machines, three bags of metal scraps, two motorcycle tyres and two underground grain silos.

Also recovered are one AK-47 Rifle Magazine, 1 dummy rifle, a round of 12.7mm ammunition, 12 empty cases of 7.62mm ammunition, assorted IED materials and a tool box.

According to him, the Air Task Force of Operation LAFIYA DOLE provided air cover for the land troops in the conduct of the operations.

Scores of young Nigerians yesterday kicked against the date for the 2018 Unified Tertiary Matriculation examination (UTME) to be conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).


The candidates displayed placards with various inscriptions including;  Admissions are but to close, why conducting another UTME now?

 JAMB isn’t for revenue generation, stop milking our parents, 2017 UTME held in may, why March in 2018?, 2018 admissions not transparent.

They said many of them, who had was hoping to be admitted by various institutions during the 2017/2018 academic calendar year, just found out this week that they were not admitted and that less than one month cannot be sufficient to prepare for another examination.

Addressing the press during the protest, national President of the association of tutorial school Operators, Dotun Sodunke, stated if allowed to hold as scheduled, Nigeria would experience another round of mass failure.

Sodunke added that institutions like the University of Benin, Yaba College of Technology, among others, just released admission list on Wednesday, and that the students who had applied to such institutions would not concentrate on preparation for another examination.

He said;  The new head of JAMB needs to be called to order. He should not be carried away by the euphoria of revenue generation. The future of this country depends on these children.

 JAMB is sure that if you conduct the exam early, many candidates would fail, and they would come back to register again next year. This is so because their children don’t school here.

 Admissions are yet to be concluded, yet you are fixing date for another one. Who does that? The introduction of the Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) is also a fraud. You would be admitted on JAMB portal and on CAPS page it would deny you admission.

 Everything is done in secrecy as we don’t even know which schools are organizing post-UTME and which ones are not. Every institution is doing what it wants. Things must not go on like this.

Reacting, JAMB spokesman, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, explained that there was yet no basis for the postponement.

Benjamin said;  We need to place the interest of this country above selfish interest. The candidates are not the ones staging protest but the tutorial centres operators, and parents must intervene to rein them in, New Telegraph quoted him as saying.

 They are doing this because they want to keep the candidates at their centres till May so that they can get more money from them. Things are not done that way.

 JAMB is not alone in this business. All stakeholders in Nigeria’s education sector have realised that our calendar must be organised and firm as we experience abroad, and it must start somewhere.

 Even if heaven will fall, the new government wants to ensure that academic calendar starts every August, and that is why all admissions will be concluded by August this year. So if these candidates are affected, we apologise to them, it is for their good and the good of the nation.

Microsoft corporation, in partnership with the Federal Ministry of education, Abuja, has introduced an academic framework for the digital transformation of primary and secondary schools in the country.

Our correspondent learnt that part of the framework is a technology solution, Microsoft 365, that can help schools to upload the scores of their students and make them reachable to parents.

The solution, developed under the ‘windows in the classroom’ programme, was done in collaboration with a Nigerian firm, Sidmach technologies.

The Microsoft education Programmes manager, Jordan Belmonte, in an interview with our correspondent, said the package could also help schools to track their students’ attendance and assist parents to monitor their children’s academic performance.

Belmonte said, Microsoft 365 is able to connect all the teachers in the world. Some of the features embedded, like OneNote, aid multiple language learning. Also, it has features that are suitable for special needs children.

 With Skype, for instance, teachers can also connect their classrooms to other classrooms around the world, making for an immersive and interactive learning. It is affordable for private schools and religious schools. We also work with public schools in many of the states and through the Federal Ministry of Education.

  The solution has a school management platform, which allows teachers to put up pupils’ scores and parents can see them from home. The solution also helps school administrators to track attendance, scores and other data about students. It allows for better performance. One of the key components of Windows in the Classroom is to launch digital learning platforms.

According to the Microsoft Senior Director of Digital Education Transformation, Mrs Jaye Richards-Hill, the package, Microsoft 365, was built to revamp the education system in Nigerian schools.

Education leaders in more than 50 countries have already used the Digital Transformation Framework to help plan their strategies in partnership with Microsoft.

  This framework has been adopted in South Africa, Kenya, Ghana and several other African nations. We believe the framework can be of huge value to Nigeria as a large emerging market.

A  3rd-year Rwandan student has discovered a network prototype that will allow WhatsApp customers to make internal and global calls without the internet. Deodate Mugenzi, a 26-year-old is pursuing data and communication technology at the Polytechnic regional Centre in Kigali Rwanda.

In line with a report by the new times, Mugenzi says that the prototype development was perpetuated by the need of Africans to converse with friends and family members globally.

1. You were involved in Malpractice
2. You overlooked your schedule
3. You were too late to the exam E.T.C.

If via chance you fall within this class and you later took part in the exam, kindly wait for your result to be released.

 Boko Haram Commander Arrested On Valentine Day, reveals where Shekau Is Hiding

A Boko Haram commander, Abdullahi Bello (alias Abu Zainab), has informed the Nigerian army that wanted factional leader of the sect, Abubakar Shekau, has escaped to Kolofata in neighbouring Cameroun.

Bello, army sources said he was arrested on February 14th in Bauchi, while fleeing to Kano. He was one of the sect’s commanders forced out of Sambisa forest by the clear out offensive of army troops involved in Operation Deep Punch eleven.
Bello was also said to have disclosed to the army that the intensity of the offensive has forced numerous Boko Haram commanders to flee their hideouts.

The Nigerian army, on 15/02/2018, announced that it will provide N3million to anybody with credible information that would lead to Shekau’s arrest.

Nigerian singer, Banky W, in an Instagram live video, replied a few questions on the rare strain of skin cancer tumors found in his shoulder surgery removal he had last year.

The singer said he’s still in a little bit of pain but from his recent test result he’s in the clear and better. November 2017, in a prolonged post on IG, the singer showed pics of his surgery scars, thanking God for his mercies and successful operations.

According to Banky W, he treated a rare strain of skin cancer which resurfaced after it first appeared 10 years ago.

I’m sharing these because they’re proof of what God has brought me through. And because somewhere out there, I know there’s someone who needs to hear this.

For those who’ve been wondering why I’ve been away so long..I had my 3rd surgery on a rare strain of skin cancer tumours in my shoulder last month. The first 2 times were over 10 yrs ago, then it recently resurfaced. But this isn’t a sad story as much as it is a reminder, and a testimony.

A reminder that you should never take life for granted. You only get 1 shot. Some people went to sleep and never woke up. Many others have lost the battle to cancer and other illnesses. Many are still fighting. U never know when your time will be up so don’t waste another minute. It’s also a testimony about the goodness of God.

I think I had to go through this again to remember how merciful God is to me; Lord knows I don’t deserve it but He saves me time and again anyway. I keep saying I need to write a book. I really, really do.

The past few weeks of recovery have been tough, but beautiful. I’m finally back on my feet, feeling stronger and ready to get back to life. I’m especially thankful to my Nurse Susu for loving me and being by my side every step of the way – I don’t deserve U ??, my parents & siblings, in-laws & close friends for the love, support and prayers, my Pastors – Pastor Tony Rapu & Pastor Del Balogun of TPH, Pastor Taiwo Odukoya and Pastor Bayo Adeyokunnu – for constantly praying with and for me. And of course to Dr Wodajo & Dr Miralli & their teams – who God used to operate on me successfully.

I’m thankful for life, provision and healing. Pls dont feel bad, or msg me with any worries.. God has done it, just thank Him for me.

The pain will eventually go away but the scar won’t – and I’m glad because it’s a reminder to me of what God has done, and evidence to you of what He CAN do. I’m not stronger or better than anyone. I’m just a living testimony that no matter what u face, U can survive & thrive, by God’s grace.

Some doctors have reportedly separated co-joined twins in the Bauchi state in an outreach sponsored by a Nigerian lawmaker.
   Its been reported that a set of conjoined twins have been effectively separated by doctors on the move Africa at an ongoing free medical outreach in Bauchi.

   The separation of the conjoined twins, in line with the Senior special Assistant to the Speaker on Media, Iliya Habila, "who shared the pictures on facebook", was successfully conducted on Monday at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa university teaching hospital, Bauchi through a team of doctors.

"He said the medical outreach was sponsored via the Speaker of the house of Representatives, Barrister Yakubu Dogara".

Habila said:  Conjoined twins have been successfully separated by doctors on the move Africa in the ongoing free medical treatment sponsored by the "Rt. Honourable Speaker, Yakubu Dogara, at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa university teaching hospital", Bauchi.

"The Punch reports" that the free medical outreach, which began on Monday, is expected to last for one week and is for all residents of Bauchi state.

  During the period, outpatient consultations and medical check-up with drugs, ultrasound test, studying glasses and cataract operations will be completed, it was learnt.

Others are laboratory tests for diseases such as diabetes, hepatitis, HIV/AIDS, public health education on malaria, hygiene, tuberculosis, HIV/AIDS and Lassa fever, free general and gynaecological surgeries.
